CONMEBOL referees suspended indefinitely

The CONMEBOL Referees Committee suspended indefinitely several FIFA match officials due to clear and important errors committed in the Round of 16 of Copa Libertadores.
VAR Cesar Deischler (CHI), AVAR Eduardo Gamboa (CHI) and AR2 Julio Fernandez (ARG) were suspended indefinitely due to cancelling a goal scored by Cerro Porteno for an inexistent offside, following an incorrect On-Field Review during the match Cerro Porteno - Fluminense.
Referee Andres Rojas (COL) and VAR Derlis Lopez (PAR) were suspended indefinitely due to cancelling a goal scored by Boca Juniors for an inexistent foul, following an incorrect OFR during the game Boca Juniors - Atletico Mineiro. Andres Rojas is the only Colombian referee pre-selected for the 2022 World Cup and this suspension will prevent him from refereeing any international matches for the time being.
