After 5 consecutive IFFHS Awards, Stephanie Frappart only took the second place in 2024, beaten by England’s Rebecca Welch, crowned as Women’s World Best Referee 2024. It was very close between the two referees (118 – 104), but Rebecca Welch made the difference by directing the UEFA Champions League final and being regular all year in her performances. Frappart didn't beat the record of Pierluigi Collina (6 consecutive World's Best Referee Awards). Sweden’s Tess Olofsson completed the podium with 94 points, before US referee Tori Penso (second last year) and a newcomer, Morocco’s Bouchra Karboubi, jumping on 5th place. If the UEFA is represented on the podium, all other confederations are in the Top 10, CONCACAF with Penso and Garcia, CONMEBOL with Alves, AFC with Yamashita and CAF with Karboubi and Mukansanga.
