The UEFA Referees Committee made some changes in the referee categories for the first half of the season 2021/2022.

Men
Retired from Elite: Björn Kuipers (NED, photo).
Retired from First Category: Javier Estrada Fernandez (ESP), Pawel Gil (POL).
Removed from Second Category: Sergei Lapochkin (RUS).

Women
Retired from Second Category: Barbara Poxhofer (AUT), Graziella Pirriatore (ITA).
Retired from Third Category: Dimitrina Milkova (BUL).

Futsal
Retired from Elite: Angelo Galante (ITA).
Retired from Third Category: Raquel Gonzalez Ruano (ESP).
