The celebrations for the 110th anniversary of the Italian Referees Association (AIA) took place from August 26 to 28 in Milan. According to official data, the AIA was founded on 27 August 1911 in the Lombard capital, inside a room of the restaurant "L'Orologio", where the first statute was drawn up. The anniversary was celebrated with three days of meetings and initiatives with international executives and referees, and 110 young referees from all over Italy.
A very important moment was on Friday, 27 August, when the new logo of the Italian Association of Referees was presented (photo above). The technical training, reserved for the 110 young referees, started with speeches by the FIFA referee Daniele Orsato, the Head of CAN Gianluca Rocchi and the Head of the Technical Sector Matteo Trefoloni, followed by a session led by Roberto Rosetti, UEFA Head of Refereeing. The training classes, which also included some moments on the field of play, ended on 28 August with Francesco Bianchi, UEFA Supervisor of the Mentor & Talent Convention and the Technical Sector of Referees.
