As reported by Blu Radio, Romina Ortega, wife of referee Nestor Pitana denounced threats after the Copa America match between Brazil and Colombia. The Argentine authorities had to go to the couple's residence in the Province of Misiones, to offer support and security.
Some intimidating messages and posts made reference to weapons, stating that they were going to be used against her and her family. In addition, she claimed that there were anonymous calls threatening and insulting her.
