Andrea Lastrucci, former FIFA futsal referee and manager of the AIA section in Prato, passed away last week, at the age of 60. Referee since 1989, he directed his first futsal match in 1991, Camel Vigna Stelluti - Settimo Torinese. In 1994, he refereed the final of the European Champions Tournament in Madrid, in 1997 the final of the Intercontinental Cup in Moscow, and in 1998 the final of the 1st Club World Cup in Genk. Lastrucci was assigned the UEFA Futsal Championship final twice: the 1999 UEFA Futsal Championship in Granada and the 2001 UEFA Futsal Championship in Moscow. In his career, at national level, he has refereed 3 Scudetto finals and 3 Italian Cup finals and has totaled over 200 appearances in Serie A and 140 international matches. From 2001 to 2010 he was responsible of the CAN 5, and also FIFA and UEFA instructor and observer. (Source: AIA)
