Vivar report on Messi: “hitting the opponent’s chest with his shoulder”

During the match for the third place in the 2019 Copa America, Lionel Messi (ARG) and Gary Medel (CHI) were sent off by the referee Mario Diaz de Vivar (PAR). He reported the red cards using a very brief description that seem to have been chosen from the options available in the drop-down menu of the electronic match report.
Messi: “Using language and/or gestures offensive, insulting, humiliating. Confronting the opponent, in an incident when the ball was no longer in play, by hitting the opponent’s chest with his shoulder (in the absence of other options, the last item was chosen)”.
Medel: “Using language and/or gestures offensive, insulting, humiliating. Confronting the opponent, in an incident that happened when the ball was no longer in play, by hitting the opponent’s chest with his arm until being restrained by his teammates (in the absence of other options, the last item was chosen)”.
