Martin Atkinson (ENG) and Ali Alsamaheeji (BHR), both born in 1971, are the oldest FIFA referees still active. On the Assistant Referees List there are five FIFA ARs born in 1971: Hugush Mohammed (ERI), Angesom Ogbamariam (ERI), Belachew Yetayew (ETH), Marvin Torrentera (MEX) and Konrad Sapela (POL). Interesting is that Torrentera, 47, has been selected for the 2018 World Cup.
