Ken Wright: World’s longest refereeing career

A 78-year-old referee set a Guinness World Record. Welsh soccer referee Ken Wright has been inducted into the Guinness World Records for the longest refereeing career.
Ken Wright has been officiating soccer matches since 1964. During that time, he has officiated more than 5,000 matches and has been active for 63 seasons. Despite his age, Wright continues to take the field and officiate matches in the veterans’ league in Swansea.
