Manchester City’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid included a moment of comedic genius. City took on Real in a very serious Champions League semi-final second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu but everyone got a chance for a little chuckle during the first half.
It all took place in the early minutes when referee Daniele Orsato sprayed some foam on the pitch ahead of a free-kick for the visitors. Orsato bent over to draw the line and accidentally headbutted Walker on his way up. The impact wasn't severe but it did sting a little as the official held his head before immediately apologising to the City full-back. However, the England international, who was a last-minute addition to Pep Guardiola's starting line-up following an ankle injury, apparently didn't feel a thing.
Real Madrid produced a stunning late fightback to win 6-5 on aggregate and break Pep Guardiola's heart. The Spanish champions set up a clash with Liverpool in the Champions League final on May 28 at the Stade de France in Paris.
