FIFA Referees Committee: Andino replaced by Caceres

At the FIFA Council meeting no. 17, held virtually yesterday, FIFA replaced Paraguayan Amelio Andino with his countryman Enrique Caceres (photo), as a CONMEBOL representative in the Referees Committee.
Both Andino and Caceres are former World Cup match officials. Amelio Andino, 58, was an assistant referee at the FIFA World Cup 2006, FIFA Confederations Cup 2005, Olympic Games 2004, Copa America 2007. Enrique Caceres, 46, refereed at the FIFA World Cup 2018, Copa America 2015 and 2016, FIFA Club World Cup 2016, FIFA U-17 World Cups 2015 and final 2017, Copa Libertadores finals 2016 and 2017, Recopa Sudamericana 2018. Caceres has recently been responsible for the VAR development in CONMEBOL.
