This Sunday, September 12, at 3:00 p.m. will mark a first in the history of Ligue 1. As part of the cooperation agreement signed last April between the French Football Federation (FFF) and its Portuguese counterpart (FPF) for exchanges of referees, a first division match of the French championship will be led by a Portuguese referee team. This weekend's match between the Girondins de Bordeaux and RC Lens will be refereed by Luis Godinho (photo), assisted by Rui Teixeira and Bruno Jesus. Their compatriots Bruno Esteves and Miguel Nogueira will be the video assistants at the Paris video review center.
Portuguese football fans will be able to discover a French referee team this Saturday, September 11, at 4.30 p.m. (French time), at the Primeira Liga match between Paços Ferreira and SC Braga. Willy Delajod has been appointed by the Technical Directorate of Refereeing (DTA) to officiate on Lusitanian soil. He will be accompanied by assistant referees Benjamin Pages and Philippe Jeanne, along with Eric Wattellier and Alexandre Castro as video assistants.
