Portuguese referee Fabio Verissimo tested positive for covid-19, announced the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), continuing "he is feeling well and being treated at home, after showing symptoms at the end of last week".
According to the FPF statement, the referee, who had already been quarantined after being in Italy on March 9, was infected "in Portugal, where he contacted an infected person. The referee will continue to be attended by the health authorities and the FPF Health and Performance Unit", adds the federation.
