Ukraine’s Kateryna Monzul (photo) has been assigned as the referee for the opening match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 between the hosts and China PR to be played in Edmonton on Saturday 6 June. The 33-year-old was used as a fourth official during Germany 2011 and has officiated at FIFA U-20 and U-17 Women’s World Cup level, as well as controlling the 2014 UEFA Women's Champions League final between Tyreso FF and VfL Wolfsburg. She will be assisted by compatriot Natalia Rachynska as well as Sanja Rodak of Croatia, with Stephanie Frappart of France designated as the fourth official.
