Castrilli accuses his predecessors Osses and Osorio of corruption

The scandal in Chilean refereeing continues. Javier Castrilli, a former FIFA referee in Argentina and former president of the Referees Committee in Chile, accused Enrique Osses and Jorge Osorio of corruption under their leadership.
The Referees Committee in Chile revealed they found that more than 9 million pesos were paid for fake invoices, which means that those payments were issued for services that were never completed. “The payments started to be issued in June 2019, when Enrique Osses was the chairman of the referees. It continued during the period chaired by Jorge Osorio”, said Castrilli. “What a coincidence, right? I hope they don't think of doing the same here, or am I already very bad thought of?”, replied Osses in Record. In January 2021, the Mexican Football Federation announced the hiring of Enrique Osses as their new Director of Instruction for the Referees Committee. The former FIFA referee had been fired from his position as president of the Chilean Referees Committee by Pablo Milad in August 2020. “The new Director of Referee Instruction, during his career, refereed more than 100 international matches, obtaining the distinction as the best CONMEBOL referee in 2012”, boasted Femexfut at that time.
